Vision Insurance
We participate in most major vision insurance plans that keep professional eye care and high quality eye wear as a high priority, including VSP ®, Pacificare, Cigna, Aetna, EyeMed, Great West, United Health Care, and Blue Cross BLUE VIEW VISION PLAN.
Unfortunately, some vision insurance plans offer coverage only at impersonal, high volume chain stores or “discount” optical stores. Our patients are mindful of quality when it comes to their vision care, glasses and contact lenses, even if that means seeing us outside of their vision plan.
If you have an insurance plan we do not bill directly, we will provide you the itemized statements necessary to submit for any out-of-network benefits you may have.
Major Medical Insurance
While vision insurance covers some of the costs of regular eye examinations, glasses, and contact lenses, your regular medical insurance may help pay for visits to our office that are related to eye infections, eye diseases, and eye problems related to general health disorders like diabetes and high blood pressure. Depending on your insurance company, we can either bill your major medical insurance directly or provide you the needed itemized statement for you to submit for reimbursement from your insurance company.
Medicare
Many people insured by Medicare have eye health conditions or eye problems that are related to general health conditions like diabetes or high blood pressure—and they may not even know about these conditions. If Medicare is your primary medical insurance, we will bill Medicare on your behalf for any visit (or portion of the visit) that is related to eye health conditions or general health conditions that affect your eyes.
Flexible Spending Plans and Health Savings Accounts
Your employer may offer a Flexible Spending Account that helps cover the cost of medical expenses including comprehensive eye examinations, glasses, contact lenses, LASIK, and co-pays associated with office visits for eye health conditions. You may have a similar Medical Savings Account individually or through your employer. We will provide you the itemized statements necessary to draw from those accounts.
